TerraVault Logistics (SL) Ltd manages the secure, certified export of diamonds from Sierra Leone to cutting houses, exchanges and buyers across international markets. Each stone or parcel is physically verified, professionally graded and certified under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme prior to export, ensuring full traceability and conflict-free provenance from the point of origin through to final delivery. Every step — grading, government clearance, sealed packaging and insured transport — is documented, so buyers and financial partners can rely on a complete, auditable record for each shipment.
Our Diamond Exportation Process
Initial Consultation & Documentation
We meet with the client — miner, licensed dealer or individual — to review the parcel, discuss the intended destination market, and confirm the documentation required, including proof of ownership.
Verification & Sorting
Each stone or parcel is received, sorted and physically verified against the client's declared inventory before any further processing begins, establishing an agreed baseline record.
Grading & Valuation
Diamonds are professionally graded on the recognised "Four Cs" — carat weight, colour, clarity and cut — forming the objective basis for a transparent, fair market valuation.
Kimberley Process Certification
The parcel is certified under the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, confirming it is conflict-free and legally sourced — a mandatory requirement for the international rough diamond trade.
Government Clearance
We coordinate the necessary clearance with Sierra Leone's Government Gold and Diamond Office (GGDO) and the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources to obtain the official export permit for the parcel.
Secure Packaging & Sealing
Certified parcels are sealed in tamper-evident packaging bearing the Kimberley Process certificate number and a unique TerraVault tracking reference, formally opening the chain-of-custody record.
Insured Transport & Customs Clearance
The consignment moves under secure, insured transport arrangements, with all customs declarations and export documentation prepared and managed on the client's behalf.
International Delivery & Handover
The diamonds are delivered to the buyer, cutting house, exchange or individual at the agreed international destination, with signed confirmation of receipt provided to the client.
All diamonds handled by TerraVault Logistics are processed in line with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and Sierra Leone’s Government Gold and Diamond Office (GGDO) requirements, together with relevant Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources procedures. This ensures every export is fully certified, legally compliant and traceable from mine to market — meeting the standard the international rough-diamond trade requires before a parcel is accepted by an exchange, cutting house or buyer overseas.
